Isabela Day Tour

Las Tintoreras

Isabela is the largest of the islands in the archipelago and to many looks like a giant sea horse. Only a very small part is visited by tourists however, leaving a large amount as national park. The not so long ago eradication of feral goats on the islands was a huge project undertaken by the national park and other funding organisations. It involved the use of helicopters and “Judas” goats planted in the herds. Ask your guide how they managed to kill all the goats in such unfriendly terrain.
